Honda have an updated ASIMO robot out, along with a new dedicated information website.
The humanoid robot now features the ability to pursue key tasks in a real-life environment such as an office and an advanced level of physical capabilities.
There are tonnes of pictures, and videos to watch too. All I want to know is – When can I buy one?

Tetra Vaal

Remember the Citroen C4 advert from earlier in 2005?
Well the guys who created that, The Embassy Visual Effects Inc, have another excellent robot video called ‘Tetra Vaal’ – created as a visual exercise and features a ‘Robocop’ style robot, designed purely to police third world countries.
The visuals are stunning, and it’s pretty hard to tell it isn’t a real robot on patrol. Clever editing of the real location footage makes it even more realistic (in particular the in-car shots & the robot running over the roofs of parked vans).
