Honda F1 2008

Posted on January 29, 2008, under Cars, Honda, Technology.

Honda F1 RA108Honda F1 have just announced their 2008 car (right). The team are punting this as a vast improvement on last years car, which lets be honest, isn’t a difficult thing to pull off.

With Ross Brawn (ex Ferrari) now in charge as team principle things could be on the up this season, although they’ve got quite a challenge to pull themselves back to where they were in 2006 so best not to hope for too much straight out of the box in Melbourne in a few months time.

Type R Diesel?

Posted on October 31, 2007, under Cars, Honda, Technology.

Honda Civic Type RLooks like the Honda Civic Type R could be in line for the Japanese manufacturers’ 2.2-liter diesel engine within the next few years, according to Autocar.

With the oil burner churning out 320 lb/ft of torque in comparison to 142 in the current 2.0-liter petrol spec car, the diesel could (read: should) be significantly faster both top-end and through the power bands.

Powerful, stupidly fast and economical?
