Bandwidth
Posted on October 25, 2005, by Darren, under Personal.
Update (8th Nov): The bandwidth for this month has all gone, mainly due to hotlinkers.
Don’t waste your time trying to search or uncover the files on this server either, because they don’t live here. They’ll be back up on Dec 1st.
Ooh my! It seems like it was a good idea to move the Smartphone wallpapers to a free web space provider after all.
Upon checking the stats today, a mere 48 hours after going live with the site in its new home, it seems as though you’ve managed to plough through 600MB+ of bandwidth!
There is one downside though; at this rate the remaining b/w will be used within the next week. *Sigh*

Are you Lost?
Posted on October 22, 2005, by Darren, under Personal.
No doubt everyone has heard of the show Lost by now (if you haven’t then you must in a cave. Or don’t own a TV. Or both).
Here in the UK it’s still playing (I think we’re up to episode 11-12).
But, I’ve now seen the whole first season! Don’t ask how… but I have (although it’s probably not too difficult to work out how really!).
While not wishing to spoil it for anyone, the next 3-4 episode get REALLY good and help set-up the end of the series.
Admittedly, a few episodes in the run have been a little slow… but hold on in there, as things do pick up towards the end. Although why you’d want to miss it when it has Evangeline Lilly (right) in it is beyond me.
So anyway, what happens with the hatch is…

The Photography section is currently being built, but isn’t accessible yet. This should be sorted over the next few days weeks.

Derek & Clive
Posted on October 12, 2005, by Darren, under Music, Personal.
Peter Cook & Dudley Moore, two very funny guys, had huge success with two characters called ‘Pete & Dud’ in the 60-70′s.
What many people might not realise is that Pete & Dud were only one half of the story – Cook and Moore also created nasty versions of the pairing called ‘Derek & Clive’, who had very foul mouths.
I’ve recently been back through my MP3 collection and come across my ‘D&C’ collection of sketches, and they are still extremely funny.
If you’ve never heard any of Cook & Moore’s work I suggest having a listen to them as their albums can be had new from Amazon quite cheap – and check out their Wiki page – here.
