Personal UPS

A few months ago I picked up a personal UPS to use on my main computer. I plumped for a reasonably cheap version, one that only lasts up to 20 minutes but this is enough time to power the machine down and avoid those dreaded Windows harddisk / driver errors when a machine is turned off unexpectedly.
The Trust version I bought also has a spare surge protection port and a socket for a phone, good if you needed to keep an answering machine on etc.
Its worth getting one if you get regular power outages, or are paranoid like me.

Once you’ve lived with one you never go back!
(Even if the odd power cut late at night sets off the alarm and you wake up thinking angry bleepy aliens have landed).
How many times have you done The Test (pulled out the plug from the mains) yet?
